Our Bush Babies sessions give you an opportunity to share time in a natural woodland with your children and get to meet and chat with other parents and carers. Our beautiful deciduous woodland is the perfect setting for the children to explore, play together and connect with nature. It is a space for you to have a change of pace and to focus on the moment with your little ones. You may even get time to indulge in some bushcraft activities yourself and will definitely get to finish a cup of tea!
Forest School starts with a gathering around the fire circle to welcome us to the wood and share a song or a story. You are then free to explore and play. Each week there will be a range of resources available for the children to interact with such as mud kitchens, bug hunting kits, hammocks, swings, rope bridges as well as sensory play for our youngest babies and craft activities for both the children and adults to have a go with. We will have a fire and cook warm snacks, prepare warm drinks and have a space to relax in. We come back together at the end of the session to share our stories and some music.
We are very lucky to be based on a farm where we have our cosy barns available for feeding or for taking a break if the weather is colder or you want a quiet moment. The children may even spot Tom and Wiz the farmers out and about on the farm.
